Pharmacy is one of the most opted professional course in India. The rapidly growing Pharmaceutical industry and Pharmaceutical research has attracted the interest of the students to take Pharmacy as a career option. In India there are various colleges and universities of International repute which offers programmes in Pharmacy at different levels such as Diploma, Undergraduate and Post-Graduate levels. These programmes are approved by the PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), New Delhi.
If you want to pursue your career in M.Pharm in India, there is an exam called GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) which tests your aptitude of pharmacy that you have studied during your graduation. It is conducted on national level. Once you qualify in GPAT, there is a centralized admission process through which you can get admission in the colleges that offer courses in M.Pharm throughout India. There is also NIPER Inst. which is the top ranked college for Masters in Pharmacy in India. However, qualifying in GPAT or GATE is a prerequisite to be able to appear in the entrance exam conducted by NIPER. Apart from these options, various dimmed universities conduct their own exams for admission in M.Pharm.
